Shipping Policy
Effective date: November 11, 2025
GemTCG, LLC d/b/a “CollectBuySell” (“CollectBuySell”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates a two-sided marketplace connecting independent sellers and buyers of trading cards and related items. We are not a party to contracts of sale between users. This policy explains shipping expectations and responsibilities on the platform.
1) Roles & Scope
- Seller is responsible for packing, handing off to the carrier, and providing valid tracking for each parcel.
- Buyer is responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address and for timely inspection upon delivery.
- CollectBuySell facilitates the transaction but does not ship or take possession of products.
2) Processing & Dispatch Times
- Sellers should ship promptly after a seller accepts a buyer’s rates/offer and the order is placed. Unless the listing or buyer program specifies otherwise, dispatch is expected within 3 business days.
- If dispatch will be delayed, Seller should update the Buyer via in-app messages.
3) Carriers, Services & Tracking
- Sellers must use a reputable, trackable carrier service (e.g., USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL) appropriate for value/weight.
- A unique tracking number is required for each parcel and must be entered in-app.
- Where available, signature confirmation is recommended for higher-value shipments. Buyer programs may require it above posted thresholds.
4) Packaging Standards
- Use rigid boxes or reinforced mailers sized to contents.
- Protect cards from moisture and bending (team bags/top loaders or sturdy inner boxes).
- Fill voids to prevent shifting; seal seams; keep label fully visible and scannable.
- Include an invoice or packing slip with order ID where possible.
5) Shipping Costs
- Unless a buyer program states otherwise, Seller pays outbound shipping to the Buyer.
- Return-shipping responsibility depends on the situation (see §10 and the Refunds Policy). If the return is due to Seller error (miscounts/condition not as described), Seller typically pays return shipping; otherwise Buyer may be responsible.
6) Address Accuracy & Delivery
- Buyer must provide a deliverable address (including apartment/unit numbers).
- Once marked Delivered by the carrier, risk of loss passes to the Buyer, subject to mandatory consumer rights in your jurisdiction.
- Undeliverable/returned parcels due to an incorrect address may require reshipment at the Buyer’s expense.
7) International Shipments
- Parties must comply with customs laws and accurately declare contents and value.
- Duties, taxes, brokerage and import fees are typically paid by the Buyer, unless local law or written agreement states otherwise.
- Transit times, holds, and inspections vary by country and are outside CollectBuySell’s control.
8) Lost, Delayed, or Damaged in Transit
- Lost: If a carrier confirms a shipment lost, parties must cooperate in carrier claims. Orders may be canceled and funds returned as appropriate (see Refunds Policy).
- Delayed: Carrier delays (weather, customs, peak seasons) do not by themselves justify cancellation.
- Damaged: Buyer must document packaging and contents at delivery (photos/video) and contact the Seller within the inspection window (see Refunds Policy). Evidence is required for adjustments.
9) Optional Shipping Insurance
- When offered at checkout/program level (e.g., 3.5% fee), optional insurance covers carrier-confirmed loss only, up to published caps, and requires all requested evidence (e.g., mailing video, carrier confirmation).
- Insurance does not cover condition disputes or Seller default. Abuse of claims may result in account action.
10) Returns & Order Adjustments
- Returns generally require Seller approval unless required by law or buyer program rule.
- If a return is approved, Buyer must pack securely and use a trackable service.
- Adjustments (partial refunds) may be used instead of returns where only part of a shipment differs from agreed terms. See the Refunds & Return Policy for timelines and evidence requirements.
11) Prohibited & Restricted Items
- Users must comply with all carrier and legal restrictions (e.g., hazardous materials, prohibited exports). Listings violating carrier or legal rules may be removed and accounts restricted.
12) Risk, Title & Marketplace Role
- Risk of loss transfers per applicable law and carrier scans. CollectBuySell does not take title to goods and does not control carrier performance.
- CollectBuySell may, in its discretion, review evidence and suggest a resolution to protect marketplace integrity; however, final shipment arrangements and liabilities remain between Buyer and Seller except where law requires otherwise.
13) Force Majeure
We are not liable for shipping failures or delays due to events beyond reasonable control (e.g., natural disasters, carrier network outages, labor disputes, customs actions).
14) Changes to this Policy
We may update this policy as the Service or laws change. The Effective date above will be updated and, where required, additional notice provided.
